WATER COOLED VIBRATING GRATE

STF Group has developed a water cooled vibrating grate for biomass combustion which can be applied for fuel input up to 150 MWt.

Grate firing requires less fuel preparation than pulverized fuel firing. Biomass can be used as it is, i.e. there is no treatment between the forest or the farmer and the power plant.

The boilers may generate steam at 120 bar, 540 °C, ensuring high plant efficiency.

Grate firing can also be applied to once-through Benson boilers.
